A Walking Pole

Viktor and Rolf's runway contraptions are borderline sadistic. I mean how can you expect a 105 pound, 5'10 waif to strut with a steel pole, lights, and speakers on their shoulders, while stomping on heavy wooden clogs? See, a model's life ain't all that glam. OH who am I kidding, they could look at themselves in the mirror and feel all better and narcissistic again.

LAUGHOUTLOUD. Touche. Who wouldn't want to be a 100-pound walking shoelace with hip bones sharp enough to cut glass?

haha, you'd think you'd have to have abit of meat on you to be able to lift those thinks without snapping in half.

Saw these in The Times...and one model was quoted , saying she strugggled to stay balanced , she had something around her waist and a heavy pole up her back holding a light fixture above her head

V&R are desperate it seems

i wasn't thrilled by those contraptions. i thought that ultimately, they distracted from the clothes, which are sort of the point of the whole show

While their shows are the more theatrical events of Fashion Week, this was just wrong. I live on my own personal runway and it doesn't involve a big rig and literal light show! Great blog, lets trade links

it's a cool concept, but much too distracting- they make the clothes look bad, when they're actually not.

ah, but at least we get to see the skirt in full, and not just as a train behind..

Over the top. Not in a good way. Poor girls. That looks painful.

I bet there are invisible wires holding those girls up as they walk down the runway because there is no way they could hold that up!
