aggy's plastic doppelganger

Yeah, and I thought i-D was overdoing it; Rootstein Display Mannequins molded their mannequins in the likeness of Aggy, HOH shirt and all.

agyness overload

Sick of Agyness? Too bad. i-D is so infatuated with the Agz that the magazine is devoting an entire May 08 issue to her, aptly called "The Agyness Deyn Issue." And when I mean an entire issue, I mean that practically every article and editorial features her, teeming with all the praise and glory that i-D could slather on. I know she is popular what with her androgyny and her past employment as a fish and chips gal, but come on, an icon? Oh girlfriend, please. The word "icon" is thrown around so incessantly that the word is rendered meaningless by now.

Colorific

Even though I have an a slight abhorrence for unnatural and really bad hair dye jobs (my school is full of them), the stark wigs just looked too cool at the Anna Sui show.

A Somber Hue

It was inevitable; we all knew Agyness couldn't have the same peroxide pageboy cut forever, debutting her new do in today's Burberry Prorsum show. I just wonder, is this darker hue an accident while dabbling with a box of Clairol's chestnut color #24? Or is it a temporary color/wig to confuse devout Agy-holics, or is Agyness really just into Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy? Maybe DNA is trying to keep her from being a clichéd blonde cropped hair model who really likes neon. Who knows...
So, blonde or brunette?
Edit: Yep, it's real.

Cherub Cheeks

Let's all let out a collective "Awwww," at this picture of Laura Hollins, now known as Agyness Dean, at the tender age of 5.

Mother Lorraine, with Agyness, 17

When she was 14, Laura Hollins worked part-time working at The Village Chippy in Stubbins, Lancashire, serving deep-fried chips to the transfats lovin' customers in a rather unfashionable hairnet.

During her teenage punk phase while shmoking cigarettes and hanging with BFF Henry Holland, Agy would dye her cropped hair a "variety of colours and styles, including black, red, blonde, pink, shaved and chequerboard." I would totally kill to see Agy's scalp resemble a Van's checkered shoe, wow.

Funny to think that this girl will later become the face of Armani, Mulberry, shot by Steven Meisel for all things Vogue, touted as the next Kate Moss and Britain's shining beacon of supermodel light. Oh, and being known for that one phallus-inspired House of Holland slogan. Yeah.
