M.I.A.4 MBMJ


M.I.A for Marc by Marc Jacobs. Juergen Teller makes her look a bit too shleppy and a bit stout , but nonetheless I love M.I.A. Such is the cool precursor to the Victoria Beckham MJ ads, which I'm anticipating with mixture of gasp and blaaurgh.

    Something doesn't mix with her and Marc Jacobs.

    Her style is much to bright and out there for MJ.

    And MJ is too understated grunge chic for her.

    i would have to agree with patent shoes && rants.

    M.I.A., no matter how much i like her, shoudln't be modelling for marc by marc jacobs. neither should victoria beckham, mind you, but that's a different story.
    M.I.A. should be modelling for cassette playa (although that might be a bit predictable), maybe dsquared ? or moschino, maybe ...

    just not mbmj.

    Erm, the shot of her with the trousers doesn't look good. TOO sloppy, really- a bit of hemming might have worked, even if it was the thrown-around/grunge look they were going for.

    I was actually going to blog on this today! But you beat me to it. I usually love Marc Jacobs ads but this one was a little weird to me. I didn't like how the suit fit, but the second outfit was ok. I really love M.I.A. and I'm glad she's getting more attention, though. Nice post.
